Let’s get into some of the trickier aspects of the job hunt, shall we?

A lot of us have gaps in our rèsumè for various reasons but how to you land a job even with those gaps?

Check out my Padlet to watch the video I shared by Linda Raynier, “Gap in Employment & Rèsumè Gaps (How to Explain Them)” where she shares two major tips:

1. Past Gaps, Currently Employed: Emphasize your current role's responsibilities and achievements. Avoid detailing past gaps on the resume; instead, address them during interviews.

2. Current Gaps Over a Year: Highlight activities like consulting, volunteering, or education during the gap. If none, focus on showcasing achievements and aligning past roles with your target job.

Avoid cluttering resumes with explanations. Instead, tailor them to showcase value.
